Preformed at Revest and passed by several Toulon clubs, Tania Seddaoui has been evolving since this season in D2 at Women’s Football Yzeure Allier Auvergne. At 25, the midfielder or striker is preparing to challenge the PSG professionals in the final tomorrow at 6:15 p.m. in Dijon – a first at this level for an amateur team. A delegation from Revestoise will also make the trip to encourage Tania during this clash of extremes. A nice surprise that makes « serious pleasure » to the player.
Facing PSG, what does it do?
It’s a crazy thing. Usually you only see them on TV. Of course, I will ask them to take selfies and autographs at the end of the game. We know it’s going to be tough. Whatever happens, it will be a great experience.
What position will you play for this final?
I already hope to be a holder. This is the coach Ophélie Anne-Laure Meilleroux (ex-international with 67 selections), who decides. Throughout the season, she made us evolve in different positions. We’ll see. If I play number 10, it will be against Geyoro and if I play mid-right, it will be against Karchaoui. They are too strong.

What memories do you have of Revest?
Ola! It’s like my family there. I started as a chick with Fabien Moynier, Jean-Pierre Estellin, Robert Pouyadou, Frédéric Fontvieille then as a ward with Claude Lombard, the president at the time, Patrice Pulido.
In a mixed team, because there were not many girls who played football at the time (laughs). I especially remember the end-of-year tournaments, especially in Corsica: I had been severely punished by the manager Santa Estellin because I had hidden in the boat on the way back. Everyone was looking for me… We did funny little stupid things, I was often punished (laughs).
At Sporting Toulon, it was always with the boys in U15 and U16 with coach Amadou Diatta
How did you take the step with Racing Toulon?
I was playing in U13 with coach Amadou. It was less family, that’s for sure, but I’ve evolved. At Sporting Toulon, it was always with the boys in U15 and U16 with coach Amadou Diatta. We managed the DH climb. After two seasons, I went to U19 at OM, my favorite club. It was like a dream. I still played a match in D2 and I left when the club moved up to D1 (in 2016). I was young. It was hard to have his place.
Why go to the east of France, to Vendenheim?
It’s been a while since I was courted by this club. I told myself that it was time to gain experience at the top level, in Division 2. It made me mature in the game. And then, I made myself the crusaders. It was very hard. I worked well to come back, I got fired at Toulon elite futsal in the women’s team at 11 and I was hit again in the crosses, on the other leg this time. The catastrophe. But I didn’t give up.
And you find yourself in the Allier…
Yzeure had wanted me for a while. The coach had an eye on me. And my agent advised me to go. I did well. I’m having a great season: we’re in the French Cup final and third in the league, one point behind Nice, which we’ll host next week, but far behind Rodez, the leader (promoted to D1) that we have however beaten in the league and in the cup.
