The bespoke strap specialist ABP has been offering straps made from recycled basketballs or used baseball gloves for a few years now, but this is probably the first time that a watch brand, Tissot, has event, equips one of its watches with a strap made of the same leather as the official NBA balls.
As a reminder, the brand had launched the idea in 2020 with its Tissot Chrono XL Special Edition NBA watch equipped with a strap made from the same material as the official Spalding balls of the prestigious basketball league).

In addition to this Edition Wilson bracelet model, this new collection includes bracelets inspired by the jerseys of 11 NBA teams: New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.
This collection of straps fits the Tissot SuperSport Chrono models (a 45.5mm quartz chronograph with a black PVD-coated steel case mounted on a classic strap).
A total of four options will therefore be available to NBA fans: the original metal bracelet, two editions in the colors of their favorite franchise and a Wilson Edition bracelet in basketball leather.
