A Citroën BX more expensive than a new Porsche 911!

There was a time when the premier class of the World Rally Championship was Group B. In the early 1980s, many manufacturers entered a battle for performance with vehicles that were specially built for this purpose. Seduced by Peugeot’s commitment to the very radical 205 T16, Citroën decided to launch with its BX, which had just been marketed. But because of too small a budget, the brand with the rafters decides to « tinker » a car with already existing elements.

Unfortunately, the car didn’t shine at all in the rallies it took part in, and Citroën threw in the gauntlet before the end of the first season. A subtlety of the regulations required the manufacturers to produce at least 200 road units of the car entered in Group B. This is why a small production of 4TC began in 1986. However, only 62 units found a buyer, and unsold vehicles were outright scrapped. The beast has therefore become very rare and sought after by collectors who are amateurs of the brand.

The copy you have in front of you is for sale in the United States at the moment and has only traveled 52,000 kilometers. To offer you this « collector », you will still have to pay the sum of 175,000 €! Which certainly makes it the most expensive BX in the world …
