8H Indy: Ferrari and AF Corse on pole!

Alessandro Pier Guidi did not tremble during the Superpole Shootout session on the Indianapolis track. The AF Corse driver got everyone to agree on the # 51 Ferrari 488 GT3. The GT World Challenge Europe champions will therefore start from the leading position.

The Italian GT will have Patric Niederhauser’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 / Audi Sport Team Saintéloc by its side. The Swiss conceded 58 thousandths. Jules Gounon qualified the Mercedes-AMG GT3 / Craft-Bamboo Racing on the second row with the second Ferrari 488 GT3 / AF Corse by Antonio Fuoco at his side.

Then there are two Audi R8 LMS GT3s, respectively Dries Vanthoor and Mattia Drudi, the two Audi Sport Team WRT drivers. Marvin Dienst placed the Mercedes-AMG GT3 / Winward Racing in 7th place (pole in Silver). The German driver beat Raffaele Marciello (Mercedes-AMG GT3 / AKKA-ASP Team).

It should be noted that 13 of the 15 GT3 in Superpole Shootout are grouped in the same second. Turner Motorsport has withdrawn its BMW M6 GT3 because Michael Dinan is unwell (COVID-19 test negative).

The start of the race will be given tomorrow at 4 p.m. (French time).
