Alec Baldwin comes out of the silence. The American actor spoke for the first time to the press after his accidental shooting which claimed the life of Halyna Hutchins, his director of photography, on October 21 on the set of Rust. « I am not allowed to comment, this is an ongoing investigation« , he began by emphasizing.
« A woman died, she was my friend. We were a tight-knit team and this horrible event happened« , regretted Alec Baldwin, visibly affected. » Her husband is overwhelmed by grief, he is in shock as well as his 9-year-old son. We are in constant contact with him and we are worried about their family« , he also lamented.
« New measures must be taken with rubber, plastic weapons. It is not for me to decide but it’s urgent to protect people on set« , estimated Alec Baldwin. Finally, the actor, who was also one of the producers of the film Rust, indicated that filming would not resume.
