Lamborghini is beefing up the game of its Urus SUV, which is available in a lowered, widened and strong Performance version of 666 hp.
The Lamborghini Urus, which recently distinguished itself by its time at Pikes Peak, loses its camouflage and takes on the Performante suffix, reminiscent of the eponymous radical variant of the Huracan. This evolution of the SUV, far from being as extreme as said supercar, gains in performance without sacrificing its versatility. The Urus Performante can be recognized by its openwork bonnet in carbon fiber with an original design and its equally exclusive front bumper, fitted with new air intakes. Its trunk gains a new spoiler increasing aerodynamic downforce by 38% at the rear, for a total gain of 8%. The rear bumper has also been revised, this Urus gains 2.5 cm in length compared to the original model to extend over 5.14 m. The more observant will also notice standard black door handles, as well as new 22-inch rims (23 optional) shod in custom-designed Pirelli P Zero tires. These are housed by enlarged wheel arches, which increase the overall width of the car by 1.6 cm. The cabin changes littlehowever the screens are entitled to a new interface and the Performante model benefits from specific upholstery.

The first Italian « super SUV », it’s him
The biturbo 4 L V8 of the Lamborghini Urus gains 16 hp under the hood of this demonic Performante variant, which therefore offers 666 hp for an unchanged torque of 850 Nm. This is still transmitted to the four driving and steering wheels via a slightly reworked eight-speed automatic gearbox, and the steering has been recalibrated. An Akrapovic titanium exhaust system is standard equipment. New shock absorber springs lower the ground clearance by 2 cm. The carbon fiber body parts allow the SUV to lose 47 kg on the scale, not enough to make it a featherweight, since the Performante still weighs 2,150 kg empty on the scale. This nevertheless contributes to a gain of three tenths on the exercise of 0 to 100 km / h, carried out in 3.3 s. Lamborghini advertises a top speed of 306 km/h, compared to 305 km/h for the standard Urus. The Sport, Strada and Corsa driving modes are back with improved settings according to the manufacturer. Added to this is a new Rally configuration designed for gravel roads and other difficult terrain.
The Lamborghini Urus Performante is marketed in the European Union at a price of €218,487 excluding taxes. With him, the manufacturer from Sant’Agata Bolognese puts his SUV back in the spotlight while his compatriot Ferrari prepares the presentation of his first all-road, called Purosangue, for next September.
