50 years of design celebrated with a 911 Special Edition
Porsche is celebrating 50 years of its design department with two exceptional models: a 911 Edition 50Y and a faithfully restored 1972 911 S 2.4 Targa.
Half a century and all its teeth is something to celebrate! To mark the occasion of 50 years of its design departmentPorsche presents us two exceptional models : a 911 Edition 50Y and an 911 S 2.4 Targa dating from the founding year of the service, 1972, and restored to the same.
A common point that jumps out? the noirwhich lines both the bodywork and the passenger compartment, a nod to the look of the Chronograph I designed by the teacher Ferdinand Porsche when the service was founded Design with his brother Hans Peterthe designer of the legendary 911.
Porsche 911 Edition 50Y Porsche Design: a classic revisited
The Porsche 911 Edition 50Y Porsche Design is a limited series of 750 models. Aside from its black exterior, nods to the past include the checkered panels of the Sport-Tex seats and the red seconds hand of theSubsecond clock from SportChrono Pack (series).
This special edition, based on the 911 Targa 4 GTS, can be ordered now for delivery to the dealership from April. Buyers can also acquire a special version of the new edition of the Chronograph I. The Porsche Museum also celebrates this anniversary via its own exposureopened since January 19, 2022.
