30 years later, Annecy returns to Ligue 2 – Sport.fr

After their victory against Sedan (2-0), FC Annecy validated their rise in Ligue 2 on the last day of the National, while Villefranche Beaujolais will have to go through the play-offs.

Long held in check by Sedan on the 34th and final day of the National, Annecy finally retained second place in the standings thanks to a double from former Niçois Alexy Bosetti (75th, 78th sp). The Haut-Savoyards will therefore accompany Laval, National champion, in Ligue 2 next season. For its part, the Villefranche Beaujolais club, who fell Bourg-en-Bresse (4-1) this Friday, will have to go through the play-offs against the 18th in Ligue 2.

At the bottom of the table, Sète ensured its maintenance by winning 2-1 on the ground of its direct opponent Bastia-Borgo. The Corsican club therefore joins Chambly, Créteil and Boulogne-sur-Mer, all relegated to National 2.
