24 Hours of Le Mans – Cadillac unveils a first image of its Hypercar

As Cadillac defends its manufacturer’s title in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the brand continues to prepare its return to the world endurance scene. Cadillac Design is shaping its Hypercar based on its previous successes. Remember that the car meeting the LMDh regulations will be co-developed with the chassis manufacturer Dallara. The car will feature a new Cadillac engine coupled with a common hybrid system as required by LMDh regulations.

“While the new race car takes into account IMSA and ACO regulations, Cadillac hallmarks will be instantly recognizable, many of which can be seen on our V-Series vehicles today,” says Chris Mikalauskas, chief exterior creative designer at Cadillac. “It will artistically combine form and function to influence the development of the future racing car. Elements of the Cadillac brand DNA, such as overhead lighting and floating blades, will be present throughout.”

Cadillac’s Hypercar will be fully unveiled this summer and will make its competitive debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January 2023. In the meantime, find out more through the video below.
