2023 Stanley Cup Final pick: Golden Knights or Panthers?

[ad_1]

The wait has been so long that it feels like the NHL’s offseason has started well. But, thankfully, the Stanley Cup Finals begins Saturday with Game 1 between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers at T-Mobile Arena in Sin City.

Both teams defied expectations to reach the final stage before the top of the championship. Will the Golden Knights build their forward depth and solid defense to their first Stanley Cup? Or will the Florida Panthers become the second No. 8 seed in NHL history to win it all?

The daily confrontation The senior executives panel make their predictions below for the Cup winner and Conn Smythe Trophy recipient as playoff MVP:

The incredibly unpredictable playoffs continue to batter our tipsters, with none of us breaking even a record .500 in three rounds. The staff is evenly divided to choose a series winner for the final, with Vegas and Florida taking four votes each. Only one staff member has seven games in the series. Meanwhile, half the panel likes Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky for the Conn Smythe. I zag from the group choosing ‘Bob’ to become the first to win it in a losing team since Jean-Sébastien Giguère 20 years ago.
