The France team is launching its men’s Olympic football tournament this Thursday, July 22 against Mexico. The formation of Sylvain Ripoll is presented for their first appearance since the Atlanta Games in 1996. At the time, the Blues had finished in fifth place in the tournament.
For his only preparation match, the young Blues, framed by André-Pierre Gignac, Florian Thauvain and Teji Savanier won in Seoul against South Korea 2-1. The band has undergone a lot of modifications because of the clubs which did not agree to release their players for the occasion.
The meeting will be offered in clear on France 2, but also on Eurosport, from 10 a.m. in France. The match will be played at Tokyo Stadium. France will play Sunday July 25 against South Africa in Saitama, before facing Japan in Yokohama on Wednesday July 28.
