1.67 million euros – 4Legend.com – AudiPassion.com

The famous American car auction site – Bringatrailer.com – has just sold a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (number 605 – chassis WPOCA29825L001218) with only 780 miles on the odometer (about 1,255 km) at a record price of 1,902 million dollars, or approximately 1.67 million euros.

The previous highest selling price for a Porsche Carrera GT was in September 2021: $1.3 million. It is considered one of the most brutal and legendary supercars, thanks in particular to its naturally aspirated 5.7-litre V10 engine (from Formula 1), developing 605 hp via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

In recent years, its rating explodes and it’s not over. The sale of this superb example at more than 1.6 million euros can be explained by its almost new condition with a very low mileage of 1,255 km. Its Indian red color also played an important role, the vast majority of the 1,270 examples having been produced in black and silver grey.

This example (chassis WPOCA29825L001218 – number 605) also has the original factory fitted luggage set and contains all the original documents and keys from when it rolled off the production line in Germany.
