There had been an interest from France but as reported by SIMON JONES, Phil Jones remains on the spot:
Manchester United defender Phil Jones has opted out of joining French club Bordeaux.

The former England international has only made one appearance this season against Wolves and has been left frustrated by his lack of opportunities after struggling to regain his full fitness.
Jones was given more time to consider his position but informed the French club of his decision this morning.

Are Liverpool’s hopes for Carvalho dwindling?
Liverpool’s chances of securing a deal for Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho appear to be dwindling.
The club had hoped a loan offer on top of a £5million offer for a player out of contract this summer would be enough to secure the services of the 19-year-old, who is of interest to many high-level teams.
However, the Championship leaders are keen to retain the striker to help with promotion, even if it means they have to forgo a substantial sum now.
Indeed, the Reds are said to be reluctant to go to transfer court as Fulham would be entitled to compensation – in an amount set by the Professional Football Compensation Commission – for a player under the age of 24.

A young City player will be recalled from Bournemouth
SIMON JONES: Manchester City are to recall Morgan Rogers from his loan spell at Bournemouth as they consider another loan move to Blackpool or Huddersfield.
The 19-year-old winger joined the club in the summer on a permanent transfer, but his lack of playing time under Scott Parker forced Manchester City to change their minds.
The 19-year-old has made 15 Championship appearances this season but has only started a game once.
The Cherries, meanwhile, are close to agreeing a deal for Cardiff City’s Welsh international striker Kieffer Moore.

Aubameyang: The latest news
The situation of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a big file to follow on this day of deadline, a file whose conclusion is not yet certain.
It’s clear that a solution is needed after he was sidelined by Mikel Arteta, but it will only be a solution that works for all parties.
FC Barcelona seemed like the perfect fit and optimism reigned on Sunday that talks were heading in the right direction and towards a deal that would see Aubameyang join the La Liga giants on an initial loan.
Sportsmail understands the situation is a bit more balanced this morning, but it’s still early days and there’s a long way to go before the deadline.
Conversations are ongoing and there is time to sort things out. It wouldn’t be surprising if Arsenal’s attacking issues were a factor.
They are already short of strikers and have rejected a £6million offer from Crystal Palace for Eddie Nketiah, who is now set to stay until the end of the season and leave on a free transfer.
They have also made an approach for former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, who is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid but his preference is to stay put.
